I really enjoyed listening to the audio version of the play. I think the audio recording does a great job of painting a picture of the different characters and environments of the story. For almost all of the locations, there was a unique sound or song associated with it. One that stood out for me was the school’s theme which exactly matched my idea of what a high school in the 60’s would sound like. The music picked up and the narrating sped up when the action grew, and the music and the narrating slowed down, again with the action. Concerning, the music helped to paint their environment and the narrating was effective in establishing the character. The narrator would change the pitch of her voice, her accent, how loud or soft her voice was, and the pacing of her speech. This helped to set each character apart and establish the different personalities of each.
